Every great actor must learn from experience, whether it's good, bad, or just okay. Junior Brandon Garcia admits that, this time, this experience may have not been his best.
Garcia just completed a performance in Frankenstein with the theater department. And while Wagner theater has drive, energy and dedication to spare, that doesn't mean that everything always runs perfectly smooth.
"We can't say we're the best," Garcia said. "We don't always have the funds to go all-out on a production, and our time management is always tight."
Garcia may have his reservations based on what went on behind the scenes, the recent production of Frankenstein was spectacular. It was intriguing, and intense, really impressive for whatever technical or monetary existed. Though it was compressed to two acts, the acting made up for it, and even earned a standing ovation. And as all actors must, hopefully Garcia will learn from this experience.
Garcia does believe that he was born to act, although he admits that his forte might not be plays.
"I won't do plays when I get into the business one day," Garcia said. "You only have one shot to get it right when doing plays, but movies are different. It's easier."
He actually dreams of becoming a comedian, or having a role in a comedy, and stated that his favorite Wagner role so far was the Tin Man in the production of The Wiz.
