This Saturday, baseball is hosting a fundraiser scrimmage. The team is trying to get up to fifty innings.
Supporters can pledge money to the team, and see how many innings they can actually play. The team's goal is to raise at least $50 per player, with a full roster of 72 players.
For sophomore team member Carlos Guerrero, this is the kick off to a baseball season that has sentimental value for him. "My grandpa passed away, and he was really close to me," Guerrero said. "That was something we always did together. When I tried out this year, I felt like he was there with me, like he was watching over me we always had that strong connection. He was like a father to me."
Guerrero encourages everyone to come out and support the scrimmage. "We're going to put on a good game."
