| BY SARAHALIZIA NIETO The music, the lights, the laughter -- Homecoming King and Queen Julio Padilla and Jacinda Perez, seniors, had a night they'll never forget. "My heart dropped, and the crowd screamed," Perez said, describing the moment when her name was called. "It was phenomenally fun, and we danced the night away." Other homecoming attendees, like sophomore Lorraine Cantu, enjoyed the night as well. "It was fun, especially when some of our favorite songs came on," Cantu said. The homecoming dance also featured some special school guests. Culinary arts students served lasagna, while journalism students served tropical punches and drinks, complete with paper umbrellas. "The food and drinks were great," junior Elizabeth Vazquez said. "And they were cheap, too!" |
