It was the National Cheerleaders Association national championship in Dallas, Jan. 23-24, and Wagner cheerleaders were in it.
"It was a great experience that not many girls get to have," junior Tianna Herron said. "When the music first started, my mind went blank, but I caught right back on. And we killed it!"
The team placed in the top 20 in the Game Day Time Out Dance category, which, given that the team had one day to learn the choreography, "was an accomplishment," sophomore Kristofer Kramer said.
"You have so much adrenaline with all these butterflies," cheerleader Jocelyn Rodriguez said. "But when it was over, you felt proud to know the hard work paid off. And we did team bonding, went to the outlets and Medieval Times restaurant, which was such a cool experience."
